My name is Estelle and I am an addict… no more. Never again.
My name is Estelle and I am an addict… no more. Never again. I have all the t-shirts and the tattoos. Yes, the statement is contrary to the beliefs of Alcoholics Anonymous. I live by “If you abide in my Word you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32) and in verse 36: “…if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed”. I LIVE this.
I am free from addiction, have been for a long while, and by the grace of God will remain free. One day – today – is all I have. I only look back to learn from my mistakes and forward only in trusting God. I come from a life of abuse, molestation, rejection, rape, violence, drug addiction, alcoholism, anorexia, bulimia, depression, same-sex relationships and more. And what addiction am I free from? Running… hiding… escaping reality. That, my friend, was truly my addiction.
Like you, I am “under construction”, an artwork in the making. In the meantime I make a difference where I can. How?
I share my story anywhere to motivate adults and teenagers, secular or church groups. I do not charge a fee; my priority is to proclaim freedom and hope wherever people long for it.
Because I have been set free I want to help people experience freedom. I am passionate about exposing the lies that bring bondage, and my mission is to see lives changed and the healing that the Father brings.
Everyone knows someone who is struggling…
PLEASE email this testimony / website link to someone you love if it encouraged you. You are more than welcome to invite me as motivational speaker. Lives WILL be changed as it is not me but Christ in me, the hope of glory that does the work.
